The Invite object stands for the Invite to sign: it is a basic object in signNow model. It contains:

  • ID(s) of the document you request a signature on;
  • Sender’s data (e.g. access token);
  • Recipient’s data (e.g. credentials; role; fillable fields assigned specifically to one recipient)
  • Status information of delivery and signature

What can you do with it?

Here is a typical flow of the invite: User sends an Invite → signNow sends a notification email (to all recipients at once or in a specific order) with a link to the documents to be signed → Recipients sign the document → signNow notifies the sender that the invite is complete via email with the link to signed copies.

A signNow account is needed to create and send invites, recipients don’t need it.
