# Create brand

`POST /v2/brands`

This endpoint allows users to create a `brand` object for [branding](/docs/guides-branding) (whitelabling).

> [!NOTE]
> To create brands from an application in development mode, the account needs a paid API plan, an API free trial, or a Site License.

* The user is authorized with a token from an app they don’t own.
* The application is in development mode, and the account has no paid API plan, API free trial, or Site License.
