# Workday and SignNow

# Getting started

Connect SignNow and Workday through Zapier to build automated HR workflows.

Zapier is an automation platform that links apps using automated workflows called Zaps. A Zap has a **trigger** (an event in one app) and one or more **actions** (steps performed in another app). With a SignNow + Zapier connection, you can automatically generate documents, pre-fill them with Workday data, and send them for signature, with no code required.

**Requirements**

- A SignNow account on the US server.
- A Zapier account. Workday is a Zapier premium app, so a paid Zapier plan is required.
- A Workday account with the credentials and permissions needed to connect it to Zapier.

## Connect SignNow to Zapier

1. Sign in to your Zapier account, or create one at [zapier.com](https://zapier.com).
2. In Zapier, open the app directory and search for **SignNow**.
3. Select **SignNow** and connect it, either directly from the app page or when adding it as a step in a new Zap.
4. When prompted, sign in to your SignNow account and authorize Zapier to access it.
5. Your SignNow account is now available to use as a trigger or action in any Zap.

## SignNow triggers and actions

In a Zap, SignNow can be the **trigger** or the **action**. For example:

**Triggers**

- Document Completed
- New Document
- Document Group Completed

**Actions**

- Create Document From Template & Send Role-Based Invite
- Create Document Group From Template Group & Send Invite
- Invite to Sign
