# Install the SignNow extension

# Install the SignNow extension 

## Install the extension from Chrome Web Store

Go to the [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/) and start typing *signnow* in the **search extensions and themes** bar.

Alternatively, follow the link to the [SignNow extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/quickbooks-esignature-by/edpacjjjoefikihikgheipgbfimkdpam?utm_source=item-share-cb) in the Chrome Web Store.

When on the extension page, add **Add to Chrome** on the right.

That's it, the SignNow extension for QuickBooks has been added to Chrome.


## Log in to SignNow in QuickBooks Online

> A QuickBooks admin must authorize the extension to make it available to other users in the organization. 

- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account as an admin.

- Open the [link](https://universal-integration.signnow.com/oauth/authorize?integration=quickbooks&super_admin=1&oauth_flow=external_signnow&redirect_uri=/en/admin/document-storage) and log into your SignNow account.

- In the **Document Storage** settings, select where completed documents will be saved.

- Click **Generate Auth Link** to create a login link. Copy the link and share it with users who will access the SignNow extension.

When **Keep document copies in SignNow** is enabled, choose where copies are stored in your SignNow workspace:

- **Save in default workspace Team folder** — (default) Document copies are saved to the Team's Documents folder in your default workspace.
- **Select destination folder** — choose a different SignNow workspace team folder. Only team folders are available; private folders are not listed. The picker lists Team folders from all your workspaces, not only your active one, each labeled as workspace name > folder name.

When **Save in default workspace Team folder** is selected, document copies are saved to the Documents folder in your default workspace Team.

If the default workspace can't be identified:

- when you belong to a single workspace, they are saved to that workspace's Documents folder.
- when you belong to several workspaces and can't set a default, they are saved to your personal Documents folder.

> If the admin has not launched the SignNow extension and a user attempts to log in to their SignNow account in QuickBooks Online, they will encounter an error:

## Connect your SignNow account

Open a record in QuickBooks Online that has file attachments, for example, **Invoice**.

> The SignNow extension only works with records that contain attachments.

Open the SignNow extension in your browser's toolbar.

Click **Connect to QuickBooks**.

Log in to your SignNow account or register a new SignNow account.

You can log in with your SignNow credentials or use social accounts: Facebook, Google, or Microsoft.

Grant the extension access to your SignNow account. 

Once connected, the extension detects record attachments. You can now send documents for signature.

## Troubleshooting

### Admin has disconnected app

A user may see the error **Admin has disconnected app. Please ask your admin to Connect to QuickBooks again** (**Expired refresh token for external system**) when the integration's connection has expired.

To resolve it, the admin should relaunch the integration:

- Click the **Integrations** icon in the upper-right corner of QuickBooks Online.
- Select **SignNow**.
- Click **Launch**.
