# Installation

Install the SignNow application in your Procore company, create the app configuration that puts the side panel on your records, and sign in.

## Admin installation

Procore admins can install the SignNow application for the whole company as a custom app. Install it in your Procore company, or in a Procore sandbox to try the integration on test data first.

### Install in a real Procore company

Use the production app key. You do not need a sandbox.

- Sign in to Procore with your company account.
- Follow the steps in [Install the custom app](#install-the-custom-app) and [Create a configuration](#create-a-configuration), using the SignNow production app key.

### Install in a Procore sandbox

A sandbox is a free Procore company that mirrors production behavior. Procore creates it together with your developer app.

**Before you start**

| Item | Why you need it |
| --- | --- |
| A work email address | Procore sends the developer-account confirmation to it |
| The app key of the app you install | See [Install the custom app](#install-the-custom-app) |

**Create a developer account**

- Open [developers.procore.com/signup](https://developers.procore.com/signup).
- Complete the sign-up form.
- Confirm the address from the email that Procore sends.

**Create a developer app**

- Open **My Apps** in the developer portal.
- Select **Create New App**.
- Give the app a name.

Procore creates a sandbox company together with the app, and sends the sandbox credentials to the same email address.

**Sign in to the sandbox**

- Open [login-sandbox.procore.com](https://login-sandbox.procore.com).
- Reset the password if you do not have one.
- Select your app when Procore asks which company to open.

> [!NOTE]
> The sandbox password is separate from the developer-portal password.

### Install the custom app

- Go to **Apps** > **App Management**.
- Select **Install App** > **Install Custom App**.
- Paste the app key from the table below.
- Confirm the installation.

| App | Key | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| SignNow production app | `204e751e-9f35-4aac-8f83-865c34307646` | Installs in your Procore company |
| SignNow prod sandbox app | `e0379eea-686f-4da6-96b1-ef3c0f03be61` | Installs in a Procore sandbox |

> [!NOTE]
> These keys identify the app. They are not credentials, and they grant nothing on their own.

The application appears in the **Installed Apps** list with the types **Data Connection, Sidepanel**.

## Create a configuration

A configuration connects the installed application to your projects. Until a configuration exists, the SignNow side panel does not appear on any Procore record.

- Open the installed application and go to **Configurations** > **Create Configuration**.
- Select one project, or select global scope for all projects.
- Enter a title for the application. Procore shows this title to the user in the side panel.
- Click **Create**.

The configuration appears on the **Configurations** tab, where you can edit or delete it.

> [!WARNING]
> Updating the application removes existing app configurations. Create the configuration again after every update, otherwise the side panel disappears from all records.

## Update the application

When a new version is available, Procore shows an **Update Available** badge on the application.

- Go to **Apps** > **App Management** and open the installed application.
- Click **Update App**.
- Create the app configuration again. See [Create a configuration](#create-a-configuration).

## Remove the application

Admins can remove the SignNow application from the Procore company.

- Go to **Apps** > **App Management** and open the installed application.
- Click **Uninstall**.

> [!NOTE]
> Removing the application does not delete existing invites or signed documents. They remain accessible from your SignNow account, and documents already saved to Procore records stay in place.

Once the admin has installed and configured the application, it is available for company users. When you first open the SignNow side panel, a sign-in prompt appears. Click **Log In**, or **Sign up** to create a SignNow account.

Sign in to your SignNow account and grant SignNow for Procore access to it by clicking **Grant access to SignNow**.

> [!NOTE]
> You need to grant the permissions only once, when you use the SignNow application for the first time.

## Sign out of SignNow

Open the SignNow side panel on any supported Procore record and click the sign-out icon in the row with **Settings**.

Alternatively, in **Settings**, click the **…** icon next to your account at the bottom of the navigation and select **Log out**.
